Fast prototyping (RP) creates a physical component quickly, directly from CAD model data by using various production techniques. Fast prototyping can be used at any stage of the product development cycle for any component or sub-component. Prototyping can be repeated many times throughout the new product design process by using test data to obtain the desired component. Fast prototyping includes special production techniques in order to create high-quality physical models of a 3B design idea.
